classical music
Since it's dark in the evening and temperature has dropped I every now and then like to listen in the evening to some classical music. I only have a few classical CD's, so basically that comes down to Rachmaninov or Debussy. I bought the CD's 10 years ago when a lot of CD's produced were basically old recordings burned on a disc and these were pretty cheap, so I could expect much. As I've never listened to good recordings it did not make a difference to me. But now Martijn complains each time I play a CD and points out what's wrong about them. And damn him, I start to hear it, too! (either that or I'm insecure enough to believe I hear it)
I did not have a problem with them before and would have been perfectly happy listening to them for a long time, and now I'm stuck with bad CD's and no knowledge of how to select good recordings. Sometimes it's better to be left in the dark...
